Abstract

본 연구는 간호사들의 유머감각, 자존감과 간호업무성과와의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 상관관계연구로 서울 및 경기도에 소재하는 종합병원에 근무하고 있는 간호사 198명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 13.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 간호업무성과는 나이, 결혼 유무, 교육정도, 수입, 임상경력에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 간호사의 간호업무 성과는 유머감각, 자존감과 유의한 양적 상관관계가 있었다. 간호업무성과에 영향을 미치는 요인은 임상경력, 유머 감각, 자존감 순으로 나타났으며 설명력은 36.5%로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에서 간호사의 간호업무 성과는 임상경력, 유머감각, 자존감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호업무성과를 높이기 위해 임상경력이 유지될 수 있는 행정적인 방안 뿐 아니라 유머감각 및 자존감 향상을 위한 중재 프로그램을 개발되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Purpose: The study was done to identify relations among sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance in nurses.
Methods: Data were collected by questionnaires from 198 nurses in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Measures were sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 13.0 version.
Results: This study shows that performance of nurses has significant difference according to age, marriage, education level, income and clinical experience. The performance of nurses has positive correlation with their sense of humor and self-esteem. The higher clinical experience, sense of humor, and self-esteem they have, the better performance they make. The factors that affect performance of nurses are clinical experience, sense of humor and self-esteem. The degree of explanation is 36.5%.
Conclusion: Knowing that sense of humor and self-esteem of nurse are significant factors which can cause nurses’ better performance, we suggest an education program that can help nurses to develop and manage their sense of humor.
